It’s heartwarming to celebrate an outstanding achiever and astute politician of repute, whose contribution, vibrancy and passion to move Kanke and the State at large to another level through charity is gaining momentum.

You have been a brother, a twin brother whom I have formed a formidable partnership for future purposes.

Words have failed me to describe your personality on a day like this, but I am comforted by the fact that a mere mention of your name resonates with ecstatic memories amongst the people you so much love and give your all to.

Members of Nigerian Union of Roads Transport Workers (NURTW) Kanke LGA branch paid a courtesy visit on Nde David Victor Dimka to congratulate him on his retirement and celebrate Christmas with him, Chairman NURTW Kanke Branch Hon. Danjuma Nendik while introducing his members thank Nde David Victor Dimka for paying for Drivers License for more than 15 of his members and other Assistance dole out to the group, the Chairman intimate Nde David Victor Dimka on their plans to work for him during his Governorship campaign comes 2023, that his members are fully ready to kick start campaign for him as soon as possible.
In response, Nde David Victor Dimka thank them for the visit and urge them to play politics without bitterness and promise to assist them with fund to procure more licenses for those who do not have so as to enable them operate without hindrance or harassment.

Nde David Victor Dimka fsi, a retired Comptroller of Customs declares to contest for Governor of Plateau State comes 2023, Nde David Victor Dimka fsi stated this while addressing, friends, family, supporters and well wishers at his country home in Kabwir District of Kanke LGA during the Christmas celebration.

Nde David Victor Dimka fsi said he is contesting under the ruling party APC and he is fully prepared and believes with God and the support of Plateau people, he will succeed and emerged victorious during the Primaries and the general election.

Our correspondent gathered that Nde David Victor Dimka fsi promised to make Plateau State great again.

When asked on the position of the past administration that were probe, Nde David Victor Dimka fsi said, we are all Plateau people and Plateau belongs to all of us, “Why should I probe my predecessor without evidence of corrupt practices?” Nde Victor fsi further said, what kind of Plateau do we want to hand over to the next generation? A Plateau where all the former leaders of Plateau extraction have been in jail? What will the next generation said about us? That we can’t settle our internal problems within ourselves? No no no, that is not the kind of Plateau that was handed over to us by the founding fathers of Plateau, people like JD Gomwalk, Chief SD Lar etc will not be happy with us in their graves for what is happening to us in Plateau today but I am assuring you that my administration will be different and i will make sure that we build Plateau together as a family if elected.

My coming as Governor of Plateau State is to work for my people and make sure that Plateau regain her place of pride in the country.

It was a great moment of joy and happiness when Nde David Victor Dimka, retired comptroller of Customs celebrated his first Christmas at home in Kabwir District of Kanke LGA, Plateau State with families, friends and well wishers who came from far and near to celebrate the dogged, no nonsense and prudent former comptroller of Customs who served the country diligently, faithfully,and without compromise from 1988 to 2020 when he retired meritoriously.
At Kanke Resort, venue of the Christmas celebration, Nde David Victor Dimka fsi, and his adorable wife,Maureen Dimka treated their guests with sumptuous food and assorted drinks ,and cut the Christmas cake with his family, friends and well wishers.
In appreciation, Nde Victor Dimka fsi,said he is delighted,and overwhelmed with joy to have retired succesfully from a tedious Federal Government work without, query, injury or deformity,and meeting his family, friends and well wishers like this and celebrate the first Christmas with them.He further thank them for their prayers and support while in service, saying they are truly people whom he hold in high esteem.
At the end of the cake cutting, prayers were offered for the protection, guidance and well being of the Victor Dimka family while Christmas celebrations continues…

GOVERNOR LALONG CONGRATULATES ITF DG, SIR JOSEPH ARI AT 60

Governor Simon Lalong has felicitated with Director General of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Sir Joseph Ari on his 60th birthday.

Governor Lalong in a statement, described Sir. Joseph Ari as an achiever who has utilised every opportunity that God has offered him over the years to make positive impact in the lives of many.

Lalong said Joseph Ari has passed through the difficulties of life and patiently surmounted many challenges to rise to positions of leadership both in the Plateau State and the country.

He said “his performance as Director General of the ITF does not surprise us because he exhibited dexterity, diligence and loyalty during while he held various offices within the State structure before joining the ITF and eventually being appointed to head the institution. He has since turned around the fortunes of the organisation and repositioned it for higher job creation and manpower development”

Lalong said the Rescue Administration has continued to benefit from the partnership and collaboration with the ITF in fulfilling its mandate of economic empowerment through training thousands of youths and women in various vocations thereby reducing unemployment.

While wishing him more years of God’s protection, divine health and favour, Lalong urged Joseph Ari to continue using every opportunity to reach out to persons in need as he has done through the years.

GOVERNOR LALONG SHOCKED OVER DEATH OF DG NIPSS PROF. GALADIMA

Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong says he recieved with shock the death of Director General of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Prof. Habu Galadima.

Governor Lalong in a statement said the death of Prof. Galadima is a great loss to his immediate family, NIPSS, Plateau and Nasarawa States, the Nigerian academic community and the entire country.

He described the late Prof. Galadima as an astute scholar of international repute, administrator and professional who demonstrated uncommon commitment in carrying out every responsibility he was assigned.

Lalong said “since assuming office over one year ago, Prof. Galadima has injected a fresh impetus in the management of the nation’s apex policy and strategic institution by introducing new concepts that made research seamless even under the current COVID-19 pandemic. He also did a lot to improve the physical infrastructure of the institution while strengthening the academic experience for all course participants. He will be greatly missed”.

He said Prof. Galadima over the years contributed a lot to the educational development of Plateau State having studied and taught at the University of Jos for many years before his appointment as the DG of NIPSS.

Governor Lalong prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest and comfort his family.

GOVERNOR LALONG TESTS POSITIVE TO COVID-19, GOES INTO ISOLATION.

Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong has tested positive to COVID-19 following a test he and members of his family carried out.

The test result indicated that Governor Lalong’s test returned positive while all members of his family tested negative.

Consequently, the Governor who is asymptomatic has gone into isolation while his close aides are being tested.

As a result, the Governor will henceforth work from home during the period of treatment.

All State matters requiring the Governor’s physical presence will be handled by the Deputy Governor.

The Governor uses the opportunity to urge all citizens of Plateau State to observe all COVID-19 protocols as the pandemic is still prevalent.

He advises citizens to apply all precautionary measures especially during the festive period by avoiding large gatherings, using facemasks, washing hands with soap and water and adhering to personal hygiene measures.

GOVERNOR LALONG APPOINTS ACTING PROVOST, COLLEGE OF EDUCATION GINDIRI

Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong has approved the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Jurte as Acting Provost of the College of Education Gindiri, following the expiration of the tenure of the Sole Administrator, Monsignor Prof. Cletus Tanimu Gotan.

The Acting Provost is to oversee the affairs of the Institution pending the conclusion of the process for the appointment of a substantive Provost and other principal officers which is already in process.

Until his appointment Mr. Jurte was the Dean, School of Social Sciences and
Chairman, Committee of Deans of the College.

Meanwhile, Governor Lalong has expressed appreciation to Monsignor Prof. Cletus Tanimu Gotan for his commitment, dedication and sacrifices during his stewardship which greatly assisted in repositioning the institution.

He said the clergyman deployed his vast academic and administrative knowledge in addressing some of the challenges of the College which culminated in holding the 28th-33rd Combined Convocation of the institution in 2019.

The Governor also commended him for also ensuring the accreditation of more courses at the institution as well as enhancing teaching and learning.
