FWANGJE LOYALIST SET FOR A SHOWDOWN WITH NENTAWE CAMPAIGN COUNCIL SETUP; MAY BOYCOTT FLAG-OFF

plateaureporters24@gmail.com

Fwangje Loyalist and other APC groups founded and funded by Col. Samuel Gulong Fwangje rtd mss,fss msc,Barden Mangu and Rimin Langai are set for a showdown with Nentawe Campaign Council over non inclusion of their leader by GenerationNext, our correspondent gathered that the showdown is in connection with the inability of the Nentawe Campaign Council to recognize Chief Col. SG Fwangje rtd for his tireless support for Nentawe Movement and include him in the Campaign Council.
In a telephone conversation with one of the Loyalist of the retired military officer in Mangu this evening, Mr Odoji frown at how Nentawe Campaign Council relegated their leader to the background after sticking his neck for him,in his words: how can Nentawe look at Col. Fwangje rtd in the eyes and refuse to recognize him after sticking his neck for Nentawe by rejecting Mutfwang his kinsman in public and even gone ahead to Brand cars in support of Nentawe? This is unfair, Col. Fwangje is the owner of Mangu Ward One,no one can take that from him but we are surprised to hear and see that Fwangje is not part of the Campaign Council.
We want to let Nentawe and his people know that Col Fwangje rtd is not an ordinary person,he has held a lot of command positions in the army and after leaving the army,he has held a lot of positions in private and in politics, few amongst them was the Deputy Director Security of the Lalong re-election in 2019 where he carries out his Job diligently,he received recommendations from police, nscdc, hunters, VGN and other security organizations for judicious handling of funds belonging to them.
Col. Fwangje rtd has been sponsoring people and supporting them because of Nentawe only for him and his people to refuse to reciprocate the gesture Col. Fwangje rtd has been doing to them, therefore, we may boycott the flagoff at Wase until something is done.
Our correspondent sort to know the truth from Prince Sekat who is the Personal Assistant to Col Fwangje and a die-heart of Dr NENTAWE but he said the list is yet to be out therefore,he urge Fwangje supporters to be patience and wait until they hear from The Boss himself.
All effort to reach Generation next spokesperson proves abortive as Shittu Bamaiyi did not pick or return our calls.
Whatever the matter is,we prayed it is resolved quickly as Fwangje Loyalist are cut across the 17 Local Government of the state and any boycott may spell Doom for Nentawe Movement especially in Mangu and its environs.

“PLATEAU HAS PUT ITS DARK DAYS BEHIND; NOW A FLOURISHING STATE” GOVERNOR LALONG

plateaureporters24@gmail.com

Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong says the State has put behind its dark days that were characterised by violence and destruction and is now coasting to prosperity, unity and peaceful coexistence as a result of the decisive actions taken by his administration to provide a platform for the citizens to drive the peace and reconciliation process.

The Governor who spoke at the inter denominational Church Service to commemorate the 2023 Plateau Day of Forgiveness and Reconciliation held at the St. Monica’s Catholic Church Rantya Jos said the people have broken down the barriers to peaceful coexistence by engaging one another and uniting against crises merchants.

He said the commemoration of the Plateau Day of Forgiveness and Reconciliation was instituted as part of the Plateau State Roadmap to Peace in order to restore, strengthen and deepen the peace and security of the State which was previously truncated before he came into office.

“The Day of Forgiveness which was unveiled and launched by Mr. President in 2018 has since then been implemented by the Plateau Peace Building Agency which we established as the first in the country with the sole responsibility of coordinating and implementing all our efforts towards removing toxic narratives, crisis merchandizing, violence and tackling root causes of disharmony and intolerance. As a Government, we have been very conscious of the fact that the process of restoring peace and confidence among the people cannot succeed without forgiveness and reconciliation. Gladly, we have succeeded in bringing people who were considered foes at one time or another to dialogue, engage, and confront their fears and anxieties in an atmosphere of love, rather than suspicion and accusations”.

The Governor explained that the Day of Forgiveness and Reconciliation which coincides with the date Plateau State was created, is not meant to trivialize or gloss over the trauma, pain and agony that many people experienced on account of the various crises that took lives and properties in the State. Rather, it is to appeal to their conscience and take people to the path of forgiving the past and looking ahead to the future that will be devoid of such ugly experiences.

He urged the leadership of the Church to continue to advocate for peace and tolerance which will help build a better society where people can freely exercise their freedoms including the right to worship.

Lalong said as a sign of his administration’s appreciation for the role that the Church in particular and faith-based organisations in general have continued to play in the development of Plateau State, he recently approved the return of 32 missionary schools to their original owners.

He used the opportunity to clarify the insinuation being made by some people that some villages have been taken over by herdsmen in the State and that the Government has not done anything about it.

He debunked the report and said that there is no report on his table that any village has been taken over. He said the Government took proactive steps to prevent such from happening by passing and signing into law the Anti-Land Grabbing law in 2020.

“By this law, anyone whose land has been forcefully taken is expected to write to me, his traditional ruler, Local Government Chairman, elected representative or even approach the court directly for redress. So far, no one or any community has done so. Rather, some people sit here in their homes and elsewhere to engage in politics and blackmail. I want the world know that what we have been doing is to return displaced persons who fled their homes due to attacks back to their ancestral lands. For example, the site for the construction of a Police Mobile Barracks in Kakuruk, Gashish District Barkin Local Government has been handed over to the contractor who will start work immediately to provide security for the people to return to their lands. Another village, Jong Community in Ropp District of Barkin Ladi was returned to their abode last two months ago. Similarly, Shonong Community in Bachit District of Riyom Local Government has also been returned to their homes”.

Governor Lalong said anyone who has such complaint should write to the Government or go to court to protest such infraction if it happens promising that he will not spare anyone who tries to lay claim on any inch of Plateau State that does not belong to him.

In his homily, Catholic Archbishop of Jos Most Rev. Ishaya Audu commended the Governor for instituting the Day of Forgiveness which he said reminds the citizens of the roles that they all played in one way or the other during events of the past which gives them the opportunity to make amends and ensure that it does not happen again.

Citing scriptures from Matt 18: 29, James 2:13 and Matt 6:14, he said Christians are the Salt of the Earth and expected to pull down all barriers for peaceful coexistence, tolerance, good neighbourliness and mutual respect.

He said Plateau remains a great State that attracts people from all over the world and has now began to witness the influx of people that seek opportunities for business, leisure and residence.

Prayers were offered for God’s blessings upon Plateau State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

PKK: THEY CAME,SAW, BELIEVE,AND SENT A MESSAGE TO THE WORLD ABOUT WHAT GAGDI IS DOING

plateaureporters24@gmail.com

At the re-election campaign flag-off of the member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, Friday in Pankshin received a boost as he was described as the man for the people of PKK.

For the flag off of a representative whose footprints are a reflection of his dedication to his constituency, the sea of red and blue T-shirts that adorned the stadium sent the right message, as it dwarfed the political gathering that was ever held in the same venue.

Guests including Governor Simon Bako Lalong certainly went home with one impression: Gagdi is the man for the PKK job.

Thanking the people for believing and sticking with the APC, Governor Simon Bako Lalong assured them that they have nothing to regret in the choice of Gagdi who has made PKK a model of sorts.

Rt Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi spoke in unmistakable terms of the need to appreciate what Lalong has done for the state, which unfortunately however, has been criticized as almost non-existent, saying, several signature projects dot the landscape, which were executed by the governor.

In his words: I am charged. When the campaign takes place fully, there will be no hiding place for anyone against the APC. They will be running with their tails tucked between their legs.

It is little wonder that the APC flag bearer Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe who spoke matter of fact urged the people of PKK to know that the projects executed by Rt Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, which are enjoyed by the generality of the constituents should be encouraged by voting him again for such not to dry.

If the event was colorful, the support that came from PKK students with a thousand-man march was phenomenal, commissioning of the Yusuf Gagdi Foundation and constituency office, as well as the road networks, set the tone of the event.

The goodwill messages were a signpost that a lot has been done, and given another opportunity, many more will be executed in PKK.

Highlights included the presentation of 20 vehicles to some officials and directorates of the Campaign Council.

GOVERNOR LALONG ASKS PKK TO RETURN YUSUF ADAMU GAGDI TO GREEN CHAMBERS FOR MORE IMPACT

plateaureporters24@gmail.com

Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong has asked the people of Pankshin, Kanke, Kanam Federal Constituency to vote massively for the APC and return Rt. Hon. Yusuf Gagdi to the green Chambers of the National Assembly because of his excellent performance.

Lalong who was speaking in Pankshin during the official flag off of the campaign for the reelection of the Member, said Gagdi has redefined Legislative representation not only in his Constituency but also across the State and Nigeria at large.

He said the people have seen and touched the projects he has carried out in the Constituency both for water, education, healthcare, infrastructure among others that have improved the lives of the citizens. He said it was Gagdi who sponsored the bill for upgrading the Federal College of Education Pankshin into a University as well as another Bill to create a new Federal College of Education in Dengi.

“You have stood out among the legislators representing Plateau at the national assembly and have worked closely with the Deputy Speaker to ensure that our interests are projected. I commend you for making my work easier as Governor and wish there were more like you. You deserve to go back and do more for the people” he said.

Lalong said the forthcoming elections present a good opportunity to reward excellence and effectiveness by massively voting for the APC from Top to Bottom.

He urged them to vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Governor, Hon. Diket Plang as Senator as well as all candidates for the Houses of Assembly in the Zone.

Hon. Gagdi thanked the Governor for standing by him and also giving him opportunity to excell and contribute to the development of Plateau State and improving the lives of the people of PKK.

He said he was overwhelmed by the show of love and support which the people have accorded him, assuring that he will continue to fight for their rights and opportunities.

He also assured that he will work for the success of all candidates of the APC in the zone and the state especially in ensuring the election of Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Governor to succeed Governor Lalong who will go to the Senate.

Also speaking, APC Gubernatorial candidate in Plateau State Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda said APC is proud to have people like Hon. Gagdi who are loyal, passionate and sacrificial.

He said the impact of the projects and programmes executed by Hon. Gagdi has gone beyond the Constituency and put the party in good light.

Nentawe was happy that as the leader of the Legacy Group, Gagdi has paid attention to the plight of the next generation which gives an indication that they will work closely together to take the younger generation to greater heights when elected.

Plateau APC Chairman Hon. Rufus Bature said with the performance of people like Gagdi, the work of the party has been made easier because people know that APC keeps is promises.

He urged the people of PKK not to be deceived by the opposition into wasting their votes on parties that have records of failure or no record at all.

Other speakers also assured that they will work assiduously for the victory of Gagdi and all other candidates of the APC during the elections.

Governor Lalong presented keys to 20 vehicles donated by the member to the campaign team.

RT. HON YUSUF ADAMU GAGDI APPRECIATE PANKWAL BOGGHOM AND BOGGHOM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL FOR AWARD OF SARDAUNA TITLE TO HIM

By Plateau Reporters

Like any other day, yesterday 28th January, 2023 was billed to be a hectic day for me, with a line up of activities and occasions to grace.

The Bogghom Annual Cultural Festival, tagged: Bogghom Day 2023, was one occasion I was never going to miss for whatever reason under the sun.

As dearly as I hold the Bogghom people close to my heart and plan to grace their cultural celebration, little did I know that the Pankwal Bogghom who reserves the prerogative to give traditional title and turban whosoever deserves a traditional title within his domain, had arranged to give me the most pleasant surprise of my life.

The conferment of the Sardaunan Bogghom tittle on me by the Pankwal Bogghom was one surprise that gladdens my heart and spurs me to further unleash my optimum in my relationship with people; regardless of class, religious or ethnic backgrounds.

I had no inkling that I was going to be so honoured. For record purpose, the title of Sardauna is only conferred on people with untainted record of excellence in their chosen facet of human endeavor.

Beyond human imaginations and for paucity of words to aptly express my appreciation for this honour bestowed on me, I can only assure the people of PKK that a better version of me is being reawakened by this pleasant surprise.

I shall ever uphold the sanctity of humanity in my dealings with all manner of people regardless of status.

My profound appreciation goes to all those who have called and those who texted to congratulate me on this honour. Even those who have not called or text me yet, but truly rejoice with me, I am grateful, and pray Allah to surprise them with better honours than mine. But first, I appreciate His Royal Highness, the Pankwal Bogghom for finding me worthy of this honour.

For want of space, let me briefly mention names and individually appreciate the following people for their calls and text messages, in no particular order of preference:

1. HRH The Emir of Kanam, Alh Muhammad Muazu Muhammad ll.
2. Prof Nentawe Yilwada, APC Governorship Candudate, Plateau State.
3. Hon Dayyabu Yusuf Garga, Executive Chairman Kanam LGA
4. Pankwal Namaran, Alh Isa Dantala Shehu
5. Professor Yibaikwal, Nigerian Ambassador to Russia.
6. Amb. Danladi Wuyep, Chairman APC Elders Council, Plateau State.
7. Hon Alh Abubakar Dashe.
8. Mr Biyayya, the DFS Plateau State Pensions Board.
9. Hon Ayuba pyekdung.
10. Hon Nuhu Musa Gyambari.
11. Hon Ishaku Magani.

13. Hon Philip Dasun Pater, DG Gagdi PKK Campaign Council.
14. Prof Sale Mahammed Galadima Kanam.
15. Hon. Yahuza Yusuf Musa, President, Jahr Development Association (JDA).
The list is inexhaustible…

Rt Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi,
(Sardaunan Bogghom I),
Member representing PKK and Chairman House Committee on Navy.

BEHOLD THE FIRST SARDAUNAN BOGGHOM; HON YUSUF ADAMU GAGDI

BEHOLD THE FIRST SARDAUNAN BOGGHOM

In Nigeria, and even in the Western nations, whenever the name Sardauna is mentioned, what strikes the mind of the hearers is the late Premier of Northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto.

Sardauna was clearly one of the most celebrated, trustworthy, and incorruptible pro-independence politicians whose legacy is virtually second to none in the history of the nation’s politics. His actual name is Ahmadu Bello while Sardauna is his traditional title which is one of the major titles given mostly to only the royal kinfolks and distinguished personalities in the society.

Today, Saurdana’s name is synonymous with purposeful governance and sincere leadership. He successfully wrote his name with a golden pen in Nigeria’s sand of history and whenever and wherever his name is mentioned, what comes up is a deluge of accolades and praises.

In fact, if anyone desires to see where untainted and unpolluted bequest resides, mention the contributions of the late Sardauna to the development of the North and Nigeria as a whole.

It is as though the spirit is in the title. More than five decades after his demise, here is another man named Rt Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi who must have borrowed leave from the then Sardauna in his leadership pattern and prowess and has been crowned the Sarduana of Bogghom by his royal highness the Pankwal Bogghom.

Rt. Hon Gagdi is no doubt exhibiting in full measure many of the attributes of the late Ahmadu Bello, especially in human capital development and socio-economic interventions particularly to the less-privileged and the downtrodden people in the society.

He is an Economist and political maestro with a full throttle of philanthropic energy who demonstrates a high sense of leadership and concern for the development of his state and its people, especially the Plateau citizens and those he crosses part with in the course of his work and political sojourn.
Of course, genuine concern, straightforwardness, resilience are some of the attributes that keep him soaring and accomplishing great feats amidst his contemporaries. These qualities endear him so much, not only to Plateau people, but to all those who are opportuned to know him or relate with him at any scale of relationship.

Indeed, it is not in any way surprising to those who know what qualities Gagdi possesses. His track record and unblemished antecedents when he was chosen as the Sardaunan Bogghom left no one doubt that he is eminently worthy. It was a case of a square peg in a square hole.

The title is only for those who contributed excellently to the development of humanity, and demonstrated unmatched qualities that are worthy of emulation.

Congratulations Sir

RT. HON IDRIS AHMED MAJE WASE AND I ARE NOT AT WAR__Yusuf Adamu Gagdi

PRESS RELEASE

RT HON IDRIS MAJE AND I ARE NOT AT WAR- RT HON GAGDI

The attention of Rt Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi has been drawn to a trending New Media report on an alleged ‘beef’ between the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Idris Maje, and himself on different platforms.

The invention of this report is meant to cause disaffection between them, having failed in their attempts to dissuade Rt Hon Gagdi during the recent campaign for reelection in the primaries in May 2022 in Pankshin

Rather, if anything is going well for both of them, it is their resolute concern to unite their supporters and people to win their respective election come 2023.

While it is a known fact, that both representatives and the people of Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam and Wase have been on the best of terms, we are indeed taken aback by the evil machinations of some warped minds who are interested only in their belly and not what can be done to the people of the constituencies, state, and Nigeria.

We are constrained to issue this statement and to further reinforce their determination to give the best to their constituencies, state, and Nigeria, today and always.

Let us warn those trouble-making rumor-mongers and their cohorts that it is pointless dissipating their energies by causing dissatisfaction among these wonderful representatives who have already carved a niche in their legislative business and agenda.

GOVERNOR SIMON BAKO LALONG SWEARS IN NEW JUDGES/KHADI

GOVERNOR LALONG SWEARS IN NEW JUDGES/KHADI

The Plateau State Judiciary has received a boost with the swearing in of 4 new Judges of the State High Court and a Khadi of the Sharia Court of Appeal.

While performing the swearing in ceremony at the New Government House Little Rayfield Jos, Governor Lalong said their appointments are based on merit and in recognition of their excellent service to the State and Nigeria over the years.

He said going by their antecedents, he had no doubt that they will take the Judiciary to higher levels and enhance the cause of democracy, good governance and the rule of law.

Lalong said “Since your calling as Judicial Officers gives you the rare privilege of making decisions that affect the lives of the people and sometimes bordering on life and death situations, you must never take this assignment lightly or allow frivolous considerations to influence you. Consider this duty as a Public Trust given to you by God to represent him in the affairs of men. Endeavour to stay true to your Oath of Office and discharge your duties with the fear of God and without fear, favour, affection or ill-will. Failure to do so will not only erode your integrity, but also put the entire society on the path of chaos and anarchy. When people cannot get justice, they may be forced to resort to self-help and other unconventional means to resolve issues. This will not augur well for the well-being of the society”.

The Governor used the occasion to reassure the Judiciary of his personal support and that of the Executive Arm of Government as well as the Legislature towards making sure that they operate under a conducive environment. He said the new High Court Headquarters complex which is at the furnishing stage will soon be commissioned as well as the Multi-Door Courthouse which has also been completed.

The Governor also advised them to be wary of politicians that will like to induce them so as to get undue advantage ahead of the 2023 general elections.

“At times like this, there is high tendency for enormous pressure to be mounted on Judges by politicians who want to get undeserved advantage at all costs. I know you have the capacity to resist attempts to corrupt, confuse, intimidate or blackmail you towards participating in unethical conducts. Please stay focused on the oath you have taken and discharge your duties according to the laws of the land and the dictates of the legal profession”.

The Judges sworn in are Hon. Justice Ladi Agyer Madaki, Hon. Justice Elizabeth Angai, Hon. Justice Longden Jacob Danladi, Hon. Justice Dasplang Samchi and Khadi Yahaya Mohammed Kanam of the Sharia Court of Appeal.

Responding on behalf of the Judges, Hon. Justice Ladi Madaki said they will do their best to serve with equity, fairness and justice as well as ensure that they live according to the oath they have taken.
